FAQ

Questions, answered

The things readers ask us most — about scores, policies and how this site stays independent.

How do you choose which games to review?
Reader requests first, then new releases in arcade-adjacent genres, then classics we believe deserve a modern look. We never accept payment for coverage — a game enters the schedule only if at least one editor genuinely wants to play it.
What does a score of 7 actually mean?
A good game with real caveats — worth playing if the genre speaks to you. We score against a fixed rubric (controls, depth, value, polish), so a 7 today means the same as a 7 next year.
Do you review games with loot boxes or gambling mechanics?
No. Our content policy excludes betting, gacha and paid random-reward systems entirely. If a previously clean game adds them, we note it in the review and adjust the score.
How is the site funded?
Reader donations and unobtrusive affiliate links on hardware guides (clearly marked). Review scores are never for sale, and advertisers cannot see content before publication.
Can I request a review or a guide?
Yes — use the contact page. Reader requests decide roughly a third of our coverage. Tell us the game and what you are stuck on.
How often is content updated?
New reviews every Tuesday and Friday. Guides are re-checked after major patches, and older reviews carry an update note with the date.
Are your screenshots original?
Yes — every screenshot on the site is captured during our own playtests on retail builds of the games.
Do you cover non-English games?
When they get an official English release, yes. Import-only titles are occasionally covered in guides if they are playable without language knowledge.
